Happy Valentine's Day

Gypsy Rose?
Happy Valentines Day to all. My husband and I have been married for 32 years.  We've known each other since before High School.  That's a long time.  I think it might have been the first Valentine we were engaged, he bought me red roses, and being as he wasn't going to see me until the evening he left them in the car.  Well! they were frozen solid.  Never got any roses again.  So why today? Hmmmmmm. one wonders.  Well I've been a cops wife for a long time and I've read books forever. So my deduction you see, he was doing surveillance yesterday,(following gypsies, that's so politically incorrect, but true) and the person he was following went in to buy flowers, in order to get up close and personal he went in to buy flowers as well, and I got some.  The weather has warmed up, so even though he left them in the car for the remainder of his shift they didn't freeze.

Many of the book related blogs I read have posted favorite book couples, such as Books and Movies , and The Road goes ever  I have a few couples (not as many as these two ladies) that I've loved as literary couples, there is of coarse King Arthur and Guinevere (and Lancelot) Robin Hood and Maid Marian, Tommy and Tupence , Poirot and Vigini (the Chocolate Box). Mrs. Peel and Stead (from the Avengers) Griffn and Sabine I'm sure I've been rooting for many a couple over the years, but at the moment I'm blank. (Just another blond moment). How about you, can you think of favorite couples?  Happy Valentine's Day.

Heathcliff and Cathy! Jane and Mr. Rochester. Elizabeth Barrett and Robert Browning ... they were real instead of fictional! The more passionate the better.

Happy Valentine's Day, dear Irene! SO happy for you that you got roses! And I'm sure you got them because he thought you might enjoy them, and because he loves you. Long live romance!~
