Vintage Postcards, friendship friday...

I've over the years collected postcards of Historical Costume, polish historical costume. This particular one is a Polish Peasant Costume from Kujawy. I think Alice and Teddy Podbielski danced the Kujawjec. It's slow paced and I know they had few laughs at it's expense. I can still see them. I don't remember Teddy looking like this guy but what can I say, it was a laugh no less. So in hounour of vintage postcards, this is 1932, vintage enough, and certainly happy friday.

Very neat. Happy Friday the 13th.! Yikes. I hadn't realized that when I went to the gym this morning. Nothing has befallen me...yet. I'm staying put.

I also collect vintage postcards and some of them would fit in your collection because they show farmers and fishermen in the Gaspesie in the early twentieth century. I've also posted one from my Iroquois/Mohawk collection that may interest you. You've chosen a great topic.
Hope you drop me a line at A Canadian Family!

That's a very neat postcard. Love his apparel. Being Polish myself and attending many polish dances where there were dancers in traditional dress he reminds me of some of them.

Irenka, oh my, with all the collections you and your friends have, how do you fit your furniture and dishes into your house.

Vintage costumes is an interesting topic to collect. I have some also, although it is not one of my specialties.

Dear Anonymous, how boring would life be if we just had furniture and dishes in our homes. I'm sure you have a collection or two in your home, you just don't know it.

This is a very unusual card! I've never seen a card quite like it actually! I find myself really staring at his headdress. I am sorry that I missed commenting on Postcard Friendship Friday (PFF) I had an awful case of the flu and was miserable!

I saw that you are from Mississauga! I was there a year ago! a dear friend of mine lives in Guelph and I was went to visit and help her move in!

Happy Birthday
