Teaser Tuesday...

Teaser Tuesday is a weekly bookish meme, hosted by MizB of A Daily Rhythm. Anyone can play along! Just do the following:
• Grab your current read
• Open to a random page
• Share two (2) “teaser” sentences from somewhere on that page
• BE CAREFUL NOT TO INCLUDE SPOILERS! (make sure that what you share doesn’t give too much away! You don’t want to ruin the book for others!)
• Share the title & author, too, so that other TT participants can add the book to their TBR Lists if they like your teasers!

Here's my teaser:

"Well I have to go.  It's almost four thirty, so my mother might drive up.'(little girl)
"what time will you be here tomorrow? (old man)
School's out at two forty.  so about quarter after three. (little girl)
Where do you go to school? (old man)
Gatzert.  (little girl)
Isn't that a long walk? (old man)

O.K. so I'm reading along, thinking "too much information" little girl and my heart is pounding.

Now just to be clear this is very early in the book, but still... scary.

Oh, no, poor little girl, as no good can come from this exchange. Thanks for sharing. Here's mine: “THE NEW NEIGHBOR”

I agree - she's telling the old man way too much!!

I had the same thought--don't take to him, I wanted to tell her. Don't say anymore! Hopefully he isn't that kind of man though.
