Sunday Salon...

As you can well imagine I'm done with winter.  I didn't wear my boots on Wednesday, and I've just defrosted my toes.  Enough, Mother Nature!.  Sunday Salon finds me in reflection of my works yesterday.  I painted with Debbie James on these two pieces.
I think I might be done with the Calla Lily, but the poppies still need words.  I'm not so good with that so I'll have to wait till my hands have feeling in them again.  I had intended this pair as a gift, but I think they may stay home.

Debbie is a fun instructor, and we used some modeling paste to create texture on the flowers, interesting!  I gotta tell you that lily is the dirties Lilly in town. But, when you leave it in your bag overnight the painting fairies come in and fix it up.  I had intended this for my niece's powder room, but she's so fussy... I would take a return on this one, not an exchange though.

Otherwise, Sunday Salon finds me just beginning The Massey Murder, Charlotte Gray. It's going to be a busy week again, we've been thrust into a provincial election, and I'll be working again.  So posts may be sporadic at best.

However, things are looking greener in the yard than they were a week ago, it's still cold but, clearly spring is trying to come forward.

My sister and brother in law are celebrating their 41st wedding anniversary tomorrow, you don't hear of people STILL being together after that many years and still liking each other.  Congratulations Lusicous and Mitchy.  (maybe it's because she's lusious.)  I still have a ton of things to do before my nephews wedding in June, and just no drive to do them.  Maybe I just needed this election to give me a schedule that I must stick to.  I hope that's true.  I work well under pressure, just how well remains to be seen.   Handy Andy is delighted I'll be working.  Can you believe him.  When the cat's away...

I'm off to make breakfast and mass, and then a day at the nursing home ... Have a good week.

Irene, your work is beautiful! The receiver of this gift will be pleased! We are so done with winter here too and are expecting our temps to stay in the 60's and above. Happy Anniversary to your sister and brother-in-law.

Your paintings are beautiful! I'm very curious about using paste to create texture.

We're having record heat right now and I love it!
