My sister Barb is doing a 365day photo challenge, so this is her photo. So here's yesterdays post picture.
The Nowak gals and their daughters went out last evening, dinner and theatre. I don't have daughters so I was alone.(wish I had invited my friend C.) We are so glad that our eldest sister Donna is alive and recuperating from her trauma. Donna has housetosis, and wanted to go out to see Cabaret at the local theatre. Then there was the question of dinner? Well we could hardly agree. I have some real issues with eating out, with my stomach, that is. So I'm cautious, and not too adventurous, and relatively picky. I don't do salad. It all comes from being a better cook than some of those chefs (aren't I patting myself on the back). However, I came prepared with pharmaceuticals Well we ended up at Claudios, the food was good, very rich, but good. And the show was excellent. Claudios is in an older home, I think perhaps historical, but I can't seem to find much information on it, it would not pass the accessibility laws, so I'm thinking it's more than 100 yrs old. (accessibility was not an issue 100 yrs ago.) Handy Andy picked me up, so I didn't even have to spend the night, inconveniencing my sister and brother in law, and making for a compact evening of entertainment. Living in a different city is not always easy, as a matter of fact, it's hard.
So now I'll do a family tree of who's who. (there were a lot of so es in that first part)
From
left around the table: Andrea, and Michelle (Alice's daughter, sister #
2, she had the knee replacement and can walk like the 60 million dollar
lady). Next is Jennifer, Donna's daughter (Donna is the one who's life
we are thankful for) Donna is next to Jennifer, me across the table. On
the right Nicole, Barb's daughter. Next is Alice the Bionic Woman, and
Barb the photographer.

I should say the tickets for this show were VERY reasonable. If it were not in a different city, I might consider a membership.

Sounds like you had a great time! I need to go on a "girls night out" soon!
So glad Donna is doing so good!
For the record, Mitch and I enjoy your company when you have a sleepover. All three of us have this great routine - get pyjamas on, Mitch prepares a nightcap, we watch t.v. or we sleep to the t.v. and then you hustle us to bed. What can be better than that.
What a bunch of pretty ladies and what a wonderful time you must have had. I agree with you, dear Irene, about eating out. I am a much better cook and at least I know what's going into my simple but tasty dishes. My TG agrees and we are just as happy to stay at home, save lots of $$, and be comfortable. But the odd night out is an adventure, no? So good for you, getting Donna out and about. She needed the change of scenery I'm sure. xoxo
