Sunday Salon...

Sunday Salon finds me viewing my creations.  (dusting) I acquired the little table above from an unknown source.  It was just left at the studio with my name on it and "do something with this" post it note on it.  I'd always thought I'd try to  restore the picture, but since Evelyn's death I just don't have that same push to "restore" So, I did this
filled a few holes, and primed the surface with good old GESSO (love that stuff)
a little sky and snow...
I originally wanted this to be an oval scene, but I'm thinking... right now it's in my kitchen, where I can see it all the time to think about it.  Entitled Snowy Sunrise.  I don't usually paint winter scenes, since looking out the window is plenty.

Beyond that Sunday Salon finds me catching my breath after a cold week here in the GTA.  Anxious for spring is an understatement.  My sister Donna is coming along, she's still very weak, but managing to eat a little more each day.  Someday soon, she'll "pig out"  I doubt that but... My sister Alice, who had the knee replacement heads back to work in the a.m. so things are looking up in that part of my life.

I'm keeping this week easy and trying to stick to a schedule, hopefully the weather will not stop my adventures, although sitting and waiting does allow me the opportunity to read.  I'm well into "after her" a real thriller.  Not my usual genre, but exciting, nonetheless.

Keep warm my friends.

It's lovely! I'm sure you'll enjoy looking at it even in the winter.

That is lovely - and just the colours of the sky here this morning - I hope it's not going to snow.

Hope you have a good week!

I do hope spring arrives fairly early for you. Not too early as you don't want a long hot summer contributing to global warming. ;-)

Love the painting you are doing. You are very talented! And productive!

I am just trying to recover from a summer cold/flu. Ugh. Not to mention the sore arm, but it is getting better! I do hope to start on some more unpacking etc soon!

Have a great week Irene!
