Sunday Salon and I've always meant to read that...

finished restoring this little baby, no gum
Sunday Salon finds me ever so grateful, my sister, Donna, is coming along, much to the shock of us all.  She had a shower yesterday! Big News.  She's now been in a step down unit and is "not such a good patient". She needs to do her physio.  But, we are grateful that she has the strength to be a nuisance.  Today I'm having a quiet Sunday, I need to complete my birthday cards for the nursing home and then I'm going to make dinner and finish my book.  I'd like to line up my challenge books (ones that are on my shelf) and take stock of ones that I don't have and need to think about.  My lovely nieces gave me a gift card to Indigo/Chapters, aren't the wonderful.  We are back to some kind of a routine in the morning, both of my sons are back to classes and hopefully my husband will have a job.  I'm off to a funeral.  The up side, I'll be spending her birthday with my  other sister, the one with the new knee.  Pretty soon my family will be bionic.
I've been on pinterest looking for storage solutions for my Corning ware.  My son moved to a new place this week and I've gotten all my dishes back (ones he had been given full with goodies), now I have no room for them. Go figure. There are some strange storage solutions out there!I suppose one solution would be to fill those containers back up and send them off.

Wouldn't this be a great April Fools trick for a husband/couch potato!

Don't know what to read this year, well Carrie over at Books and Movies is hosting the "I've Always meant to read that..." challenge it's very relaxed.  If you're interested hop on over and check it out.  There are a number of books on the selected list that I have on my shelf and have not gotten around to reading them, so I'm in, for some anyway.
~ JanuaryThe Complete Stories by Flannery O’Connor
~ FebruaryThe Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time by Mark Haddon
~ MarchState of Wonder by Ann Patchett
~ AprilThe Blind Assassin  by Margaret Atwood
~ MayThe Moonstone by Wilkie Collins
~ JuneA Prayer for Owen Meany by John Irving
~ JulyAmerican Gods by Neil Gaiman
~ AugustThe Poisonwood Bible by Barbara Kingsolver
~ SeptemberWatership Down by Richard Adams
~ OctoberFrankenstein by Mary Shelley
~ November A Passage to India by E.M. Forster
~ DecemberCatcher in the Rye by J.D. Salinger

The underlined ones are my choices so far, not sure about Margaret Atwood, sometimes her works are just too much for this old brain.

I'm on the last chapter of my last book of the What's in a Name Challenge 2013, fortunately there are no penalties for late readers. More on that book later.  Enjoy your Sunday, stay warm, and shovel that snow.  We are expecting vast amounts.

I'm so glad that your sister is doing well. If she is giving the hospital staff a bit of fits, then that sounds like she has her spunk back, LOL!

I have a desk exactly like that. And my TG needs the remote/book combination. He always reads with the TV on, dear Irene!!! Me, I have to do one or the other. I am thrilled to hear that Donna has the strength to be a nuisance! May it ever be so.
