The last of summer...

It's almost the end of summer. I had a whole/hole list of things to do, or that I thought I'd do. Did NONE of them. It's a perfect day today, weather wise, so I hope to be almost done with ripping the sod up in the backyard, and then on to relining the pond. I really like the way it looks in the winter, probably more than the summer. Sometimes the summer months are so hot, I miss my flowers blooming, like my lovely day lily, missed it completely, until this last bloom. So, I've moved it to a more visible spot. Hopefully, everything will take. I'm writing this post on my lunch break and linking in to Tuesday Muse.

That's a beautiful day lily and it would be a shame to miss those blooms!

I didn't do a lot of what I wanted to either, but we were busy with home renovations and a wedding, so I don't feel too bad.

Lovely bloom, with the light falling so beautifully on it!

Such a pretty flower! I've been enjoying the end of summer too. Your post reminded me of how I was procrastinating last night, doing crossword puzzles instead of the dishes. The last one I finished last night had a theme of "procrastination." I took it as a sign and finally got up to do the dishes. :)

Beautiful lily! I planted a few pots of geraniums and a couple of tomatoes. That's the extent of my gardening this year. Just didn't have my heart in digging in the earth. I did enjoy seeing family and friends a lot.

I love day lilies but our summer's been so wet they haven't done so well this year.

Nice pic of the flower with the light falling on it....I also did nothing on my to-do list. I think this flood took up my whole summer. :-(

Day lilies are so fetching, dear Irene. I'm glad you got at least a late-summer glimpse.
