Jenners I miss you...

Recently Jenners left the blog world to go to a tumblr account, try as I might I cannot ask you anything, remember I'm old. Anyway I'm hoping you are still reading my blog, and read this.  I read you daily, or at least when ever you post.  I understand your quote today, more than I can explain.  I always thought I'd have time when my kids went to school all day, well then they got me to volunteer at their school, so much so that when they were in University I finally retired from their elementary school, and I went on to the church volunteering, mostly because I wanted to provide some spiritual service to my mother.  Now that my mom has passed I thought I'll have tons of time, not so.  My house is a mess, my art room is struggling for an identity and the Unfinished projects have piled up.  So even though I don't feel like I've neglected my friends or family in the sense of telling them I love them, it's stuff that has clogged up my life.  So the other day when you said ... (Jenners) 5 things that I waste my time on are...
1.volunteering, I always thought I'd make a difference, not sure that is true.

2.worrying about friends and family and trying to "rescue" everyone,

 3. watching the news, do I really need to know everything that is going on in the world, over and over again,

 4. waiting for buses, I hate it, if I were born again, I'd drive.  It takes me so long to get anywhere, and walking at this time of year is not a realistic or safe choice

 5. and this is the big one, I watch soaps twice a week, for 2 hrs.

If I waste time anyother time during the week it's because I can't move anymore, so I crash and watch or read.

So Jenners if you've read this, it's my "ask me anything" comment to you.  I miss you on blogger, I was sort of hoping to see B.B. going on his first date.  Keep well and thanks for the book reviews.

I can't figure out Tumblr either, so don't feel bad. I'd sure hate the list all the things I waste time on.

I don't want to depress myself and list those things I waste time on! LOL

I miss not being able to comment on Jenners Tumbler posts as well, but I still feel lucky to be able to keep up on how things are going for her.

I'm in the same boat, can't figure out Tumblr too much...but then I guess I waste my time on most things on that list to sit long enough and figure it out.

I too Irene thought oh good she's in school, well I volunteered and did more stuff then some of the teachers I noticed. Some really take advantage of you.....then when she went to York and almost got mugged in one of the parking lots there twice I decided to drop her off whenever she went for classes and shopped at Vaughn. Otherwise taking the buses would take her a good 2 hour each way.
Now like you she's finished her schooling for now and my house is upside down...and still can't find time to re/arrange things....
take care.....

Volunteering is never a waste of time. It touches others in ways you can't imagine but we don't always see the results of our work. Just my opinion. I have done community volunteer work of one type or another in almost every place I have lived.

Awww, Irene. I'm still reading you and visiting. How sweet of you to post this. I'm sorry you can't "ask me anything" but I'm still here. I don't think volunteering is EVER a waste of time. It is what makes the world go round in a better way and you are a better person for it. And I do think that if we had too much time, it wouldn't be a good thing. It is good to be busy and have a full life of giving to others. And trust me … it will be some time before BB has his first date!! ACK!!! I'm sorry that Tumblr is confusing to you, but I can see that you are finding the tidbits I'm posting. Hugs to you.

Don't feel that volunteering is a waste of time. Helping is never a wasted effort.

Now tumblr could be a waste of my time! I tried to set up an account but it's not interactive enough for me and I end up neglecting it for, oh, months at a time.

I agree with everyone who said that volunteering is never a waste of time. I wish I lived closer to town so that I could volunteer more.

I have a Tumblr acct, but I can't get the hang of it, so it just sits there all lonely and feeling neglected.

I know how you feel about Jenners moving on. I LOVE LOVE LOVE her sense of humor. I'm following her at her new place though, so I'm sure it'll peak through from time to time.

A kind word as you wait for the bus can make a difference in someone's life. Volunteering is NEVER a waste of time, sweet Lady. I can't figure out tumblr either. (grin) And as far as soaps--well, everyone needs to do something for themselves. ((hugs))

Hang in there--You are a very precious person. You never know what one kind word, or one sweet action might do to change someone's life. You just never know.

Nothing is wasted, dear Irene. Live and be happy. The time is so short and many of the things that don't get done maybe didn't need to in the first place. You have enriched my life by simply existing, and we have never even met. xoxo

Happy Birthday

Happy birthday to my wonderful son,  it's bee 33wonderful years. Hope this year proves to be the best yet.
