MailBox Monday is hosted by Bermudaonion this month.
I purchased a copy of The School of Essential Ingredients, on the recommendation of a painting pal. It's a friendly read, one I needed right now. Sometimes I get to reading things that require too much of me, this did not. I started and finished it in a couple of bus/train rides, and that's a good sign. I'll be passing it around the painting group, so everyone can enjoy it, and then it will hit the library for my seniors. It did make me want to take a cooking class, with a male person, (not necessarily my relative).
and I purchased the new Maeve Binchy (the last?) A Week in Winter. I'm not sure what I'll be reading this week, I have a library book, in my bag, and likely that's what I'm going to read. And then I think maybe Wife # 22.

A lot of people seem to like that Ingredients book so I suspect you'll enjoy it -- especially if a friend recommended it.
I enjoyed School of Essential Ingredients. Maeve Binchy is such a great author.
Seeing the last Maeve Binchy makes me rather sad. That's one to savor!
Sometimes a friendly read is just what you need.
I hadn't realised Maeve Binchy had died!Oh dear.
Dear Irene, I wish I had your stamina when it comes to books. Happy page turning!
