Teaser Tuesday is a weekly bookish meme, hosted byMizB of Should Be Reading and it asks us to...
- Grab your current read
- Open to a random page
- Share two (2) “teaser” sentences from somewhere on that page
- BE CAREFUL NOT TO INCLUDE SPOILERS! (make sure that what you share doesn't give too much away! You don’t want to ruin the book for others!)
- Share the title & author, too, so that other TT participants can add the book to their TBR Lists if they like your teasers!
I need a break from Stevie King, so I've picked up another book to escape into. Never Let Me Go, Kazuo Ishiguro.
From Never Let Me Go Kazuo Ishiguro.
Didn't you just hate it when the teams were picked and you weren't the first to be chosen, I hated it.

Omg this book is so heartbreaking. I wanted to see the movie but I couldn't bring myself to watch it. Here is my TT http://newpaperadventures.blogspot.com/2012/06/teaser-tuesday-june-26.html
Sounds sadly wonderful.
Sounds very human.
Thanks for visiting my site!
So sad :'( I'd pick him!! I really like Angel Burn so far, it is interesting and the angels are not they way you think, they are not actually good angels. Thanks for stopping by my blog!
You always have interesting books to read Irene...
...and I always forget to write them down...argh...
good to catch up here with you...praying for rain for you...we have too much here at the moment, but that's ok I shouldn't complain because I remember what the bad 10 year drought that we just came out of was like...ugh.
Awww...how sad. I do remember those days and not being picked right away.
Aw, I feel bad for Tommy!
Thanks for stopping by My Tease!
Happy Tuesday!
Love the sound of this one, you definitely caught my attention. Thanks for visiting my TT earlier today.
HATED that moment when teams were picked. Even still it makes me really nervous when I'm put in situations where I need to partner up with someone.
I hope you enjoy this one Irene. I've read it but don't remember too much about it. I loved Ishiguro's Remains of the Day.
Oh that book is heartbreaking! Much worse is going to happen than not being picked for a team.
Oh, I have read one(1) of his books and I could not read another. It was incredibly touching and burrows right down into the heart and essence of common experience. Brilliant.
I haven't read the book but I loved the movie, dear Irene. You've made me want to see it again. And I was always picked last or else not picked at all.
Well, I watched the movie first. Very sad so I can only imagine the book was even more sad.
