Saturday Snapshot...A view from up here

This is the sky from the airplane window.  I took the window seat on the way down to our vacation spot. And then I looked at the ticket, should have been my husband's seat.  It reminded me of an episode of Quincy where he was the CSI at a plane crash and they were trying to identify bodies by where they were sitting.  Wasn't I starting off on a positive note.  It takes my ALL to push these thoughts out of my head. I feel much better in the window seat.  My return trip I was were I was suppose to be and I didn't feel very well.  Could have used that large champagne then.  Silly me, things are always better with champagne.  By the time we landed I was prepared to do one of these.

Saturday Snapshot is hosted by Alyce over at At Home With Books.

Photo of Pope from my own library.

I don't blame you! I have yet to understand what keeps that big bird up in the air.

Haha yeah, kissing the ground. Flying and I don't always see eye to eye either.

Luckily, I am not a nervous flyer, but I'm glad you all made it home safely. And champagne improves most everything it touches!

Irene, you didn't post the pictures of us nude on the beach! or by the pool ... why?

I didn't post pictures of us nude by the pool, ... my memory card blew up.

Champagne certainly does improve any situation. I love photos from plane windows, it's such a rare but moving view.

Not a good flyer? ;o). I am a good flyer if the weather conditions are smooth and there are no delays!

I need plenty of distractions when flying...and I prefer the window seat.

Thanks for sharing...and for visiting my blog.

Those clouds look like stepping stones, to go walking across the sky!

I prefer the window seat too. I think everyone thinks about their mortality when they fly. Funny we don't think about it when we cross the street or climb behind the wheel of a car.

Great photos. I like the window seat when I fly, but with all the new travel regs, I avoid it whenever possible.

Hopefully it will not come back to haunt me-I figure why worry when you are flying there is nothing you can do. I always enjoy seeing what is out the window.

Being up in the clouds never ceases to amaze me, but I am always happy to be back on solid ground.

Ha, that's funny! My husband always grabs the window seat. I just read my book and wait for the ride to be over. I'm ok with flying but I hate the airport part!

You're not alone in your flying discomfort. I always say a prayer of thanks when I'm earthbound. :)

Ahhh ... flight! One of the mysteries of science! Ahhh ... champagne! One of the mysteries of foos chemistry! Better living through chemistry is my favorite adage!

I totally understand about that last picture! That's how I was after a very bumpy flight last night.

Oh, you made me laff!! I freak out on take offs and landings. The rest of the flight is oddly meditative. I love this photo you shared. Do you find it easy to read on planes? Do you sleep? I can almost never sleep.

Window seats can really help, though.

I do sleep on planes, mostly because I pump myself up with Gravol, but this trip I couldn't read, and sleep was delayed, like I was falling asleep on the movator(walking thing) in the terminal after landing. I crashed the minute we got home.

Happy Birthday

Happy birthday to my wonderful son,  it's bee 33wonderful years. Hope this year proves to be the best yet.
