You can tell I've been too busy to play...

My moto this summer was July 1st I was starting at the front door and working my way through the house to clean up/ clear out and do a general all about thing .  Our front screen door needed to be changed, probably since we've been here, but one thing leads to another $ and it got put off. I didn't want to discard the old one till I have painted the solid door, just to keep the bugs off the fresh paint.  Well it's been so hot, it took several days for the door to dry. DONE.  Once the door was painted I thought I'd just paint the trim, well that didn't work the walls needed paint too.  Again, drying time was longer than expected, so I've now been in this front portion of the house for days. Yesterday finished, the walls, hung up stuff, and switch plates attached, furniture back   and this morning I look and I've missed the trim on  a whole door way.  Not in the plans.  oh well, carry on...
My poor cat has been beside himself, his usual sleeping niches grossly disturbed not to mention the constant rattle of a vacum (keeping cat hairs out of my painted surfaces is a b--ch.) So he's snuggled up in a very small spot on the chair watching.  This morning I guess he thought he'd get me before I began and came running up with an artificial rose, I guess he's been in my floral supplies again.  OOOOOOO!
The usual observational mode.
Haven't had too much energy to read this week, started Child of the Northern Spring, and should really get going on Enemy Women (my August challenge)  the only mail delivery book was a history text book.  One of the residents at my mother's nursing home is the author, and I thought she'd get a kick out of seeing it on the shelf.  I was a little disappointed in the condition of this book, but I'll just have to tell her it was well loved.  Have a great Mailbox Monday.

I have so many projects like that which need doing at my domicile, dear Irene. I was just telling TG yesterday as we rode home from church that he's about to be hit with a Honey-Do list that'll set him back a few paces. He just laughed because he and I both know he'll do it at his own pace and I won't influence his actions one bit. Except, he will eventually get them all done. Now, as for me? I need to get my rear in gear and clean out more than one closet, cupboard, shelf and drawer. My house isn't in dying order by a long shot. Not that I have any imminent plans to buy the farm. Happy Monday!

Your projects sound like what I'm going to be doing for the next week. Finishing the kitchen, bathroom, and then tackling the gutting of the master bedroom!!! Your cat cracks me up!! Thanks for stopping by today!

Your cat is quite the character! That is a lot of work you are doing. The hot weather sure has been a stinker this year. Not good for painting at all. Good luck on your projects.

Your cat is a cutie. They really do hate having their routines disturbed, don't they? LOL

Ohhh - How inspiring. I need to do that at my house, but my boys keep me busy... anyone care to come play with them while I go through the house :)

Your cat is adorable!

Here's my Mailbox! ~ Wendi

I need to tackle some projects around the house too, but I'm not feeling very motivated.

Good for you!!! You have been quite ambitious! Now you need to sit down, rest, and get a satisfied smug look on your face, LOL.

You always have so many projects going on … projects that I'm sure are beyond my scope of meager skills. I'm impressed!
