Meeting a special little someone

On Thursday I set out on an adventure to visit my niece's new baby.  Her name is Olivia.  Andrea her mom is a lovely young women and a very very capable mom.  Little Olivia was born while my company from Poland were here and I didn't get to see her in the hospital, although she was only there a short 1.3 days.  Throughout Andrea's pregnancy we (meaning her aunts and mother) kept sending her name suggestions.  Holy Smoke the girl should have been a spy, she was so tight lipped about the name.  Well little Jacinta as we all agreed on, was named Olivia.  I love that name, why didn't I think of that?  Anyway here's some facts about the Olivia's of the U.S. no stats for Canada, (we're still busy trying to do the gun registration).

there are 53,689 people with the first name "Olivia" in the United States.

 Olivia:

(female) Latinate name, first used by Shakespeare for the rich heiress wooed by the duke in Twelfth Night (1599). Shakespeare may have taken it as a feminine form of Oliver or he may have derived it from Latin oliva ‘olive’. In the 1970s it was particularly associated with the Australian pop singer and actress Olivia Newton-John (b. 1948). Since the 1990s it has been very popular throughout the English-speaking world.

Okay, I cannot STAND how CUTE this is! I love it. What a sweetiepie. The name Olivia has always been one of my favorites. In fact, I texted her mom last week and told her to name the baby Olivia. It probably has nothing to do with me, however. A coincidence?

Thanks for this news. You've been busy! Guests, Babies, Looking up name origins!

I really didn't accomplish much, myself...sorry.

Congrats to you and yours!!
