In my earnest of clearing out things, I came across a photo album I had started with Pond Stories, I've decided to add my garden adventures to this book, so here are a couple of shots of my hydrangea. These plants were leftovers I rescued from our church garbage. They did good, didn't they.
To participate in the Saturday Snapshot meme post a photo that you (or a friend or family member) have taken then leave a direct link to your post in the Mister Linky on Alyce's blog.) Photos can be old or new, and be of any subject as long as they are clean and appropriate for all eyes to see. How much detail you give in the caption is entirely up to you. Please don’t post random photos that you find online.
P.S. these strange items, like the silver leaf you see are my meagre attempt to keep the squirrels from stealing my precious tulip bulbs, and they seem to really like the one's from Holland in this little corner.

I'd never considered that squirrels would search out tulip bulbs!
I, too, had no idea that squirrels ate tulip bulbs. Beautiful flowers!
Your garden is gorgeous! Good luck keeping the pesky squirrels out.
These are gorgeous. I have a pink hydrangea posted today as well:)
I adore flowers, and they look so pretty lining the walk.
Thanks for sharing, and for visiting my blog.
Girl those rescued flowers are beeeyoooooteeeefullll! All they needed was a little love from dear Irene.
They were in the garbage??? Thank goodness you discovered them. They are gorgeous.
They're so pretty! I like your idea for protecting the tulip bulbs from the squirrels.
I love the bright pink color of the hydrangeas, it's gorgeous! And they look wonderful along the edge of your patio like that. You rescued some very beautiful plants!
So you have choosy, upper-crust squirrels?!
BEAUTIFUL!!!! I love flowers and cant wait to own my own home again so I can plant, I refuse to put anything in someone elses yard and take the chance of them ripping them up...flowers remind me of children playing in the yard, I dont know why put they do, they are just so welcoming....
LOVE to you
P.S.

These photos make me happy. I love Hydrageas but have never had them in my own yard! I didn't know the squirrels would dig for bulbs. Of course, Inever really thought about it... HA!
Wonderful photo! Love it.
Here is my Saturday Snapshot post!
"They did good"---I'll say!!!! You are obviously blessed with a green thumb, great at plant "rescuing." Lovely photos!!!
Happy Sunday!

I find the occasional tulip bulb dug up and I always suspected the squirrels but I've never caught them.
The rescued hydrangea are lovely. I can never let a plant get tossed either... I end up adopting them.
Very nice! Good luck with the squirrels. They can be little rascals.
Trust the squirrels to go for the quality bulbs eh?
Wonderful hydrangeas Irene. Just lovely.
Do you ever get both colors in the hydrangeas?
The garden looks fab!
Let's hope the squirrels don't catch on.
I have noticed that flowers are a theme for Saturday snapshot
