Saturday Snapshot...

To participate in the Saturday Snapshot meme post a photo that you (or a friend or family member) have taken then leave a direct link to your post in the Mister Linky below. Photos can be old or new, and be of any subject as long as they are clean and appropriate for all eyes to see. How much detail you give in the caption is entirely up to you. Please don’t post random photos that you find online.
My contribution to Saturday Snapshot are these wonderful tree knots.  I just can envision the wonders inside of these works of art by mother nature.  Reminds me of that tree in Ichebod Cranes'  Legend of Sleepy Hollow or should I say in Johnny Depps version.
Saturday Snapshot is hosted by Alyce from At Home With Books.

Those are really cool tree knots! I've never seen The Legend of Sleepy Hollow - I'm too wimpy. :)

Whenever I see a knot hole like that in an old tree I start looking for a woodpecker to pop out.

The knots in the trees look like an artistic rendering...a sculpture, almost. They are definitely intriguing. Thanks for sharing.

And thanks for visiting my blog.

I think the older a tree is the more likely it is to have interesting bumps and knots - kind of like us :-)

oh cool! Love these. Neat to imagine how old some of them may be too.

Those are so interesting! It always makes me wonder what caused it to form like that.

They certainly give the tree character, don't they?

I always look at trees like that and wonder how old they are and what's gone on in the world since they first started growing.

You had me at Johnny Depp, dear Irene.

I see a screaming face inside that last knot.

Those are spooky and cool at the same time! It always amazes me that shapes that trees can grow into.

I love it! Definitely spooky as Jenners mentioned, but just creative and neat!
