Recently the students of Guleph University were in the news. YEA students. As a almost long time involved person of elections, I say Elections Canada goes to great lengths to get electors out to cast their vote . WHY not students you say. They do try to get students to vote, and I can only applaud this Returning Officer who set up a Special Ballots Poll on the campus, and YEA to those students who voted. What a wonderfully clever idea. Shame on the Conservative who tried to interfere, there goes another NO vote for you. For heaven's sake we make sure our "incarcerated members of society get to vote, we make sure Canadians living outside of Canada get to vote, we make sure seniors in Long Term Care Facilities get to vote, even our Canadians who are in hospitals get bedside voting privileges, why not our youth who live away from their homes, and are in the midst of exams ... I suggest you write a note to Elections Canada insisting that a Special Ballot Booth be considered for all future elections and this one, they still have a few days before the deadline. I will sure be casting my vote in that direction. BRAVO to the Returning Officer of Guleph.

Totally agree with you. I'm so glad this worked out. Heard some of the students waited in line for a couple of hours.
Nice blog! Nice idea, too.
