Weekends in the garden...

Over the last few months I haven't spent enough time in my garden. I know this to be true, since I was out all of yesterday afternoon, and what neglect. I have a perennial that I cannot get rid of. It cheats me you see, I seemingly have dug it all up and discarded it. and then in the spring it's the first one up and blooming, and since I can't get out there and kill a blooming plant I let it live. Each fall I'm ruthless and pull and dig and I think I just encourage it. I hope not. My back can't take it anymore. I pulled and plucked and pulled and pluck, I hope it's gone. I'll be roto tilling tomorrow, if it doesn't rain. And then... the remainder of bulb planting only 50 more to go. And then I can wait for this glorious bloom in the spring.  I've decided I'm a fall gardener.  Oh wait still a few evergreens to trim, I cannot for some unknown reason grow anything in a space of about 4 ft, long between my row of evergreen hedges it looks like a gap , no idea what to do about it, but for now I'm  putting my newly sprayed gold bench with  little Christmas decor.  Id' love  to do a Santa resting on it, but not sure I shouldn't be doing laundry instead, and then I can sit down in one of those chairs I'm supposed to be upholstering.  I'm suppose to have good weather, (no snow) until Wed.

I wish I was more motivated to work in our yard! Our flower beds need to be weeded.

I'm not much of a yard worker! You put me totally to shame. I don't know if it's just that I'm lazy (which I am) or I simply have no idea what to do (which I don't.) *sigh* I would love to see a golden bench in my "garden" ... I think I'd sit a Christmasy Dickens character on mine! You're a dear, dear Irene.

I have a perennial garden and there were some choices that I just didn't care for ... but I'm having the same difficult time getting rid of them!!!
