For Today...

Each week, (if I get a chance) I post my For Today... I know there are many blog readers that are sick to death of memes. For me, it gives me an opportunity to plan my week, reflect on the good the bad and the ugly, and really sort things out for myself. If I insult you with posting a meme, I'm sorry, you can just click out, I value your comments and your virtual hugs. And many times even though I plan my week things don't turn out quite like they are planned, but it is a sorting hat for me. Thanks for stopping by and commenting or not.

FOR TODAY

Outside my window...it's a sunny, beautiful coolish day.
I am thinking... the grass needs to be cut.
I am thankful for... that last week ended, and not in a funeral
From the learning rooms... not sure if I have the energy to learn anything today.
From the kitchen...chicken balls, (chinese chicken balls)and of course jello and banana cake.
I am wearing...my p.j.s still
I am creating...hopefully some order in my home./well at least in my laundry room.
I am going...nowhere. too much house work
I am reading...I was reading Outlander, Diana Gabalbon but I left my book in the dorm room when I was visiting my son, now I'll have to fumigate it to prevent spreading the plague. So Today I'll start Feels Like Family, Sheryl Woods.
I am hoping...that my mom continues to be comfortable after her ordeal in the hospital
I am hearing...my son changing channels on the TV (he's a guy right!)
Around the house... This is the last week before my household is in full swing back to school, I begin work in two weeks, just bits and pieces of mapping and visiting sites, and then by the end of the month we'll all just see each other late at night. Where did the summer go...
One of my favorite things... pajama days, we just stay in our p.j.s all day and do stuff, like read, watch tv. I cook, and do paper work
A few plans for the rest of the week: well my mom is back in her residence since Friday, so I'll be there at least a couple of days this week, and I must resume my seniors visits.
Here is a picture I'm sharing with you... this is a snap shot of my son in the dinosaur room at the ROM, talk about feeling small, and him at 6foot 2. We finally made it to the Terra Cotta Warrior Exhibition, he's taking a Chinese History Class this year and I thought it would put him in the mood to learn, not that he needs the nudge anymore, but you know how I can be.

For Today is hosted by the Simple Woman's Daybook.

Thank you for all your wonderful comments, and yes I do get hassled for memes. TOUGH.

Again, hope your Mom is doing OK. The weather is getting a "little" cooler here too, at least in the evening, and less humidity.

Awww, Irene, I would never be insulted by ANYTHING you posted ... only entertained. And you know I love it that you're always in pj's like me. Sorry you have to go back to work. Like you I'm glad last week didn't end in a funeral for me (or you) but I feel sad for all those whose weeks did end that way. And I hope you get your laundry room organized and when you're done, please come do mine!

Glad to hear your mom is doing ok!

What the heck are chinese chicken balls? I'll have to check your recipe blog and see if you posted the recipe.

"now I'll have to fumigate it to prevent spreading the plague"
LOL!!!

I don't think you should have to apologize for doing a meme on your own blog!!! I hope no one gave you a hassle!!! This is your space to write what you want to write!!

Hoping your mom continues to do better!

It's strange but I've found that my post 'for today' tends to get fewer comments than other posts. Don't know if that means folks don't like it as much? Like you I like it and find it gives me a way to remember what I'm doing, what I want to do and what I'm thinking in that moment. Feel that's the only post that really does that. Hmm what does that say about what people come looking for if it's not getting as much feedback.

Happy Birthday

Happy birthday to my wonderful son,  it's bee 33wonderful years. Hope this year proves to be the best yet.
