I may have mentioned that my mother-in-law can grow anything. Her offspring on the other hand, my husband, is a useless tit in the garden. Yes those are my feet up relaxing, while my husband is pulling weeds. He's been away with his work for a few weeks and my grass is in quite a state. And yes, I could have done it, or made my son do it, but it's been so hot... Today the weather gave us a break and I said he was not being a couch potato while I was out, my hip is killing me, and I needed help. I don't know why I have to flip out before he hears me. Anyway we got this nifty weed pulling thingy from my brother-in-law, (the one with the perfect yard) for our anniversary, and since I said I was not married to myself, it was time he learned how to use some of these tools. I did have to do a demo. So he was in charge of the grass, (not very much) while I did the rest of the yard quite a bit more. I took a break, since I had been out there for a couple of more hours than he, and sat down to have a glass of water, and as I looked down my legs and thought this is a KODAK moment. No one will believe me ... here's the proof. You'll notice that he has disrupted my carosel horse and my stepping stones are askew, but that's o.k. he hasn't fallen in the pond, or had heat stroke yet.
He quit shortly after this picture was taken, you see I went in to go to the bathroom, and when I came out he was gone... like a bunny run off. So yes this photo is not only rare it's a never before seen scene never to be repeated, but I have plans for him, wait till he finds out what I've got planned for the front yard... In polish we would say "Cos' zdechnie w lesie".
P.S. I hate those patio stones.

hehe you are so cute snapping the picture with your feet up in there too. Love the bunny hopping off. We have a family of them here and I love to capture pictures of them when they sit long enough.
RYC: a grinder is a regional term for a sandwich on an oval shapped roll. Sometimes called a 'sub' because it's shape is similar to a submarine. I hadn't thought until your comment that they are referred to differently in different areas.

GIRL you crack me up. So funny and every woman here can relate, I promise. We had to have a pool pump motor replaced this morning (I'll be swimming laps again this afternoon) and the pool man was pointing out all the stuff that should be altered or amended around our pool pump so that it will run more efficiently. "Your husband can do all this," he said. I laughed out loud! OH RIGHT, I said. The last time I badgered him into attacking some weeds out back, he went straight to the climbing ivy and killed it deader'n a doornail. THE IVY WAS THE ONLY THING I LIKED, I might have yelled when I saw it. Why in the sam hill would he kill climbing English ivy and leave the rest of the "landscaped" area like a jungle? SIGH ... I could go on and on but I won't. Suffice it to say I loved your post and I love the way you think, Irene. Keep calm and carry on.
