May wrap up...

I know I'm half way through June before I wrap up May but, with all the challenges I'm involved with I need to take stock, in other words I'm cleaning my room. So May was a good reading month for me, obviously a lot of traveling by public transit.

I read:
Sugar Queen: a book I really enjoyed, and one which made me decide you're never too old to fall in love with the mailman.
Devils Punch Bowl :this is not my usual genre, it was definitely a thriller, I found the subject matter rather disturbing but thrilling nonetheless.
When Will There Be Good News: I enjoyed this book as well, I love the time span of the occurances in this book. and the final justice as I think we are lead to believe, another thing I like about books, allowing the reader the privilege of making up their own ending, or at least that's the liberty I took with this ending.
Lace Reader: I read the Lace Reader while we were away. Also enjoyed this book, love all the stuff happening in Salem, witches and the like. But now I need to learn how to make lace...strangely enough I stumbled upon a blog of someone who "finished some lace", can't remember who, and I didn't bookmark her page, I'm so mad at myself. Anyway a good read especially for twins. (spoiler alert)
Then I took a mental break and read Silver Wedding, Maeve Binchy. I love her character development style, and in the end something happens with all these characters, maybe not much but something. I find her an easy relaxing, entertaining read. Thank You Maeve.

And now it's June. I'll keep better track of my reading list this month, since my room will be clean and I'll have a stack.

You read several books last month that I hope to eventually read. I've heard such wonderful things about Lace Reader and Sugar Queen in particular. you've got me curious about The Devil's Punch Bowl. I've read one other book by Iles and really enjoyed it. Just haven't gotten around to reading more by him.

I hope you have a great week!
