Happy Postcard Friendship Friday #5

This is probably my oldest card. It was mailed in April 1906, in Eastman Quebec.
The colors are very muted, but the design is embossed right into the paper.I'm dying to add some silver edging to cover up the discoloration, but I shall control myself.

There is no greeting or sentiment on the reverse, just a simple name, and a 1cent stamp.

Have a wonderful Postcard Friendship Friday.
And many thanks to our hostess Beth from The Best Hearts Are Crunchy.

I've noticed that a lot of Easter postcards were embossed. I guess they were expected to be especially pretty - maybe to sit atop someone's old piano or fireplace.

A very pretty card, love the colour, it would look very nice on a piano, as Evelyn suggests.

Hi Irene... I love the colors of the postcard. It's one of those cards that I'd like to get for myself, so sad that there's nothing like that produced nowadays.
Thanks for visiting and Happy Easter!

Wonderful post card. I think the reason there isn't any sentiment is that was around the time of the transition that the post office allowed people to write on half of the back.

Thanks for stopping by PFF
