The Bishops Man
I've been wanting to read this, not because of the subject matter, but because this is an award winning Canadian Author. I watched the interview of the nominee's for the Giller Prize and found him to be quite arrogant so I want to see what he's so proud of. (aren't I awful)
P.S. I think Friday Finds for me also must mean something else. I thought Friday Finds, would be something that you found out about yourself that you didn't know. I found for example that I'm not as patient as I think I am and I don't care. For example, I've been training my men to empty their pockets and turn their socks outside from being all rolled up, as my hand really hurts when I do this for 30 pairs of sock, and I really don't want to wash your I Pod in the machine, CHECK YOUR POCKETS! But today when I found all this stuff was not done, and my hand is already sore, and I don't have time to stand here and do this, I just tossed the items into another basket and I'm LEAVING THEM DIRTY. I'd never have done that before, but as it's Friday and I find I'm tired from a busy week and the weekend doesn't seem to suggest any relief, I've lost my patience.

I once went on a little holiday (much needed) when the boys were still at high school (I did leave the the younger daughter with a friend), and talking to my son on the phone on the Sunday night, he announced he didn't have a clean uniform for school the next day. Amazing. Nothing I could do about it, and I didn't fret. Don't know that I ever asked what happened. The world didn't end obviously!
The book sounds very interesting!
