Vicki at Reading at the Beach is hosting A-Z Wednesday.
Today's letter is "P"
I read somewhere that one of the most important things when submitting your manuscript to a publisher was to edit, edit, edit but most importantly to check your grammar and spelling. Well I suck at both so, I was given this book by my son when I first decided to write a romance novel.
Today, while I was still cleaning, I came accross it and thought viola (voila) I could really use this. So here it is.
Be sure to check out the rest of the gang at A-Z Wednesday.

That sounds like a cute book!
My mom was my big grammar teacher. She graduated from secretarial school in 1979, and since they taught her to edit, all of my school papers involved getting hit over the head and having to recite the "7 comma rules" and so on.
My hubby is my spell check...I say find a good friend to help!
I need this for my husband, he's always asking me how to check what he's written for mistakes.
Where was this when I was in high school! LOL!!! Great choice and glad you ordered Plain Perfect....you'll LOVE it!!!
I think I could use this for a refresher!
Even professional editors look up points of grammar -- just to be sure.
Sounds like an awesome homeschool book. Thanks
The advice you received was sound; one spelling mistake or one obvious grammar error and most editors immediately stop reading and move on. Rough drafts have errors; final copies should have none :-)
I need to take a grammar refresher course. I have forgotten so much!
Ugh, that's a book I need. I abuse commas horribly in my writing and I know it. I really should lose all right to them. Cute book!
looks interesting Irene...something along the lines of "eats shoots and leaves"?
good to catch up here! have been a little busy!
