Our dear hostess is not well, so I'm dedicating this little post to her well being. We miss you.
This is a summer costume from the region of Slask. I don't have a Polish key board so the accents on the Slask are not visible, it is pronounced Shlonsk, with the on sound almost like oink. I'm particularly attracted to this little postcard because it also displays some folk art on the little chest the young man is sitting on. It's obvious to me that global warming was not yet an issue at the time of this dress, since we are all covered up. Can't imagine wearing so many layers in the summer.
