Remember this mailbox I started way back when...
The lower portion is as done as it's going to be, just varnish left to do on it...
The lid was inspired by our blue moon of last, this is as far as I have gotten, there will be more, as soon as I can figure out if a moon has rays...

Hopefully the painting fairy will just come and finish up, well it'll be me, the moons' hands will a little more shading and there should be rosy cheeks and long eyelashes, and rays? does a moon have rays? someone please tell me. and then the edge will have to be awesome.
So even though there are no books in it yet, big ones will fit. Take that Canada Post!
"Mailbox
Monday is a gathering place for readers to share the books that came
into their house last week and explore great book blogs. Warning:
Mailbox Monday can lead to envy, toppling TBR piles and humongous wish
lists. It was started by Marcia, previously of The Printed Page and is
now a Blog Tour, hosted by a different book blog each month." My Amazon.ca wish list is getting rather long, so hence the large mailbox.

My Mailbox Monday
I think a moon as cute as that would definitely have rays, dear Irene. You are a marvel. I cannot draw a straight line. If I could I would, and I'd draw it from me to you, then walk all the way to Mississauga on it and give you a big hug.
It is neat to see your project evolve!
