We woke up to this yesterday, and then by 8p.m. it was gone. But all day long all we saw were cars piled up or bumped into each other, or slid off the road. Why do people forget how to drive?

That is how our winter has been too.
Well, at least you didn't have to deal with it for too long. :)
Guessing it won't be long before it returns! When it snows in Dallas the city literally shuts down. Kind of sad but also kind of nice to stay at home in jammies all day. ;)
Living in Texas like Trish, it's not often that we get snow. Ice comes more frequently. Our whole area just grinds to a halt. Your snow was pretty.
Hai ragione Irene, la gente dimentica come si dovrebbe guidare in sicurezza !!
In Italia, in questo momento si stà cercando di fare leggi più severe sugli incidenti stradali.
Buona domenica :)

Same for us snow one day and gone the next. People do drive crazy when weather is bad' makes me extra cautious.
Oh my! I bet the snow was beautiful while it lasted! LOL, it's always prettier when you don't have to venture out either...
Hey, I mailed the package to you on Friday! You should get it the first part of this week.
That came and went pretty fast!
They're looking at all the whiteness !!
I love the smooth dome shapes it makes
We haven't had much snow either but we did have freezing rain which was really nasty. I lived in Alaska for ten years and everyone drove on snow and ice eight months out of the year. But for some reason when the first snow fell in the late fall everyone forgot everything and there would be accidents everywhere. I guess some folks never learn.
Oh, a winter wonderland, how lovely for you dear Irene! I love to see snow falling but once it's on the ground I wish it gone. And I hear you re: the way folks drive. Here in South Carolina it's endless pileups every time it RAINS!!! Can you imagine? People just won't slow down.
