Here's mine: 
Jake and I had been married three or four years when I told him I was so happy that I had nothing else to pray for."Why", says I, "I've got prayers to sell." 


This is my current read, and I'm so enjoying it to this point.  I finished a couple of the Charles Todd mysteries and the thought occurred to me "oh my God, I'm Victoria"  so I'm off to confession, Oh wait that was the other book, anyway,  I'm going to try to be a better sister.  Don't have a teaser for either of those, I've returned them to the library.  But Victoria was not a nice person. well actually she was horrible.

I'm slipping a For Today in here as well, I'm off to do the mountain of laundry I have accumulated, and it's cold and rainy today, so tonight it will be ironing, and I really need to prep a canvas for morning.  Just as well the boys have escaped. I missed a few dandelions the other day so now after all this rain, they've bloomed and are ready to multiply, so I may be out there in the storm ripping them out.  My husband played in the pond on Sunday, so all the tools are out there rusting away... When he says " why are all these rusty," I'll have to answer," because I didn't put them away."  Wish I could say I have prayers to sell, I'm sure the good Lord is saying "oh not you again".

"Gladys It's your daughter.  She must be calling to tell you she is dead and in hell and to ask you dip your fingers in the water and come and cool her tongue, as she is tormented in the flames.  Surely she is dead and in hell, because nothing else would explain her not showing up and not even calling you, her own mama, to keep you from pulling out all your hair with worry. I am so sorry she is dead and in hell, but at least they have phones there..."
