Nothing in my Mailbox, nothing, well no books, (I did receive a lovely thoughtful gift from a dear friend, and I'd love to share the photo if I could just get my scanner/camera to work, and now I've decided Ms. Jenny deserves a separate post, as soon as I can stop crying over her thoughtfulness) so today's task is to varnish this box, I've had it sitting out for some time, (painted a little more than you see in the above shot) and deciding weather I liked it or not, so when my eldest son came home for Christmas, he decided I needed to change a little, and I agreed, so that's it for this week's "task".
"Task", I suck at New Years resolutions so I thought if I just take one "task" at a time I may be more successful. Like I have a gazzillion unfinished projects, just because I like the process of deciding if I like it or not, I'm going to make up my mind one piece at a time, and then finish it. I won't ask my son for his opinion each time, he's too much trouble and very expensive, and |I have to feed him when he comes home,and he's a fussy eater, and usually other mother stuff too, I won't have the energy to complete the task if I ask him each time, so just on the important pieces, and then we can celebrate our decisions with his "special" diet.

Year! And I(not me) couldn't resist creating a new challenge of my own, which
came to me as I was making my resolutions. I am trying to get back into
the habit of sending regular snail mail letters -- which reminded me of
how much I love reading about letter writing and enjoying epistolary
fiction.
