Here's mine:

"James Stands very still.  He doesn't want the bees to see him.  He is afraid of being stung."

Yesterday, I was doing some furniture stripping, and was listening to the CBC programs,  They do a short story read and so on, but mostly they were interviewing researchers on the disappearance of bees.  So when I read this line, I figured, aren't we all afraid of being stung, and yet apparently the disappearance of bees is a huge environment disaster.  So instead of killing that bee in your garden you are suppose to plant more flowers to encourage bees to pollinate.  HMMM! they don't seem to bother me, but they love S. Vincent.

I can relate. I used to be afraid of getting stung by bees too. I was allergic once, but am no longer.
Happy weekend! I added you to the Linky!

We used to have a friend who had a bunch of bee hives and we'd keep them in our yard for him because our house was about 35 ft. from an orange grove. They never bothered us.

I've watched a couple of documentaries about their disappearance. It could be disastrous. I used to get stung all the time by honey bees because I always go barefoot outside. Now that I think about it, I haven't had that happen for some time.

We've had a couple of bees come in the house this week - husband gently guided them back outside. I've always been afraid of being stung - but so far it has never happened!

Come to think of it, I've seen lots of wasps - we unfortunately get them every year on our deck APLENTY. But not many bees lately. I've seen documentaries on this too. It seems that, without their pollination skills, we will have a heck of a time getting some of our fruits to produce.

Happy Birthday

Happy birthday to my wonderful son,  it's bee 33wonderful years. Hope this year proves to be the best yet.
