It's Monday, what are you reading?

It's Monday what are you reading? Sheila at Book Journey hosts this weekly event where we celebrate what we are reading for the week as well as books completed the previous week.

I use this this weekly meme as a way to give short, concise thoughts on the books I've read. I abandoned Gone Girl, just didn't like where it was going, maybe not the right time to read it for me.  So I picked up from my pile Garden Spells, I'm only a little way into the book and I already love it.  I always love the quirky characters in Sarah's book.  You know there will be some sadness, but also a great deal of family dynamics.
June is audio book month?  haven't quite mastered that technique yet, so this is a paperback.  Happy Reading.  My dryer is acting up and I have a  great deal of washing, and it's raining,... so it may turn out to be a toilet scrubbing day.

Dear Irene, my dryer has been acting up for what seems like centuries. When my Handy Andy was home briefly last week, he made noises about us biting the bullet and replacing it, but alas there wasn't enough time. So far it still dries clothes so I refuse to obsess about it. I haven't had time for much reading except for sipping at my poetry tomes. You know how I am. xoxo

I enjoyed this book too - a comforting read but there are serious issues within the story.
