Monday Muse...horses/cows and sheep Oh My!

As this is card giving/sending season I decided to do a major clearout.  I have absolutely no business buying cards, with all the supplies for card making I have.  But, this upcoming month one of the people I need to send a card to is a horse lover.  I got nothing!  So I decided to kill two birds with one stone, only it will be 3 birds.  I needed to do some photos (for my photography class) and a photo for a painting I'm working on and a card.  So off I went to the Royal Winter Fair.  Well, when I got there the cows were all eating... they would not look up!  So much for a reference photo for my painting.  I did get these, really didn't think I did as well.

sleeping all twisted up
this beauty, and she was beautiful, using her hoof/paw to rest her chin on, while napping.
And my horse shots too were not so bad...
These were two very young girls and that black horse was acting up and giving that little girl the business and not wanting to do what she was trying to demonstrate, really quite humorous.

These two were part of a six horse team that behaved beautifully for their master,(Guy Mclean) he NEVER stopped talking for 45 minutes and I mean NEVER, I don't think he even took a breath.  I forgot what his name was, but what a entertainer.  His horses loved him and he them, it was really obvious.   I was hoping to get a straight on shot of a horse and rider so I could do the face in the hole, thing...

these are going to make my card front...

but I got these two feathery things... I am amazed how relaxed these animals are amongst each other and the constant noise of humans.  We could learn a thing or two about co-existence.

Hat tip to my sister B for her contribution to my horse search, sorry, just not what I'm looking for, thanks anyway.

Well even if you didn't get exactly the shot(s) you were after, dear Irene, you certainly got some good ones and interesting ones. And you got to spend time with them, which is something too. xoxo

I love going to the local fairs and especially love seeing all the animals. You got some really great shots! Love the ducks the most, I used to live on a lake and had a duck as a pet.

Happy Birthday
