Top Ten Tuesday... and Teasers...

This Weeks Top Ten....Author's I've only read one (the one I read) of their books, but need to read more.

1.   Markus Z|ukas (The Book Thief)
2.   Will Wiles (The Care of Wooden Floors)
3.   Linwood Barclay(Trust your Eyes)
4.  Edith Pattou (East)
5.  Persia Woolley (Child of the Northern Spring)
6.  Beth Kephart (You are My Only)
7.  Elizabeth Wein (Rose Under Fire)
8.  Aimee Bender (The Particular Sadness of Lemon Cake)
9.  Rachel Joyce (Perfect)
10.Leslie Pietrzyk, ( A Year and a Day)

Teaser Tuesdays is a weekly bookish meme, hosted by MizB of Should Be Reading. Anyone can play along! Just do the following:
• Grab your current read
• Open to a random page
• Share two (2) “teaser” sentences from somewhere on that page
• BE CAREFUL NOT TO INCLUDE SPOILERS! (make sure that what you share doesn’t give too much away! You don’t want to ruin the book for others!)
• Share the title & author, too, so that other TT participants can add the book to their TBR Lists if they like your teasers!
and here's the Teaser

I realized right then, in my first support group meeting, the essential difference between family caregivers and myself.  It was like the difference between Fred Astaire and Ginger Rogers.  You know the joke - she had do everything he did, but wearing high heels and dancing backwards. In caregiving,  I'm Fred Astaire and family caregivers are Ginger Rogers.

Alzheimer's is a terrible thing to watch your loved ones suffer from. My grandfather and father both had it before they passed, and now my sister's mother-in-law is in the aggressive stage.

I want to read Rose Under Fire as I loved Code Name Verity. Beth Kepharts books are divine.

I never thought I'd meet another person who had read "East". It is my favorite fairy-tale rewrite. We must be kindred spirits :) Your opening paragraph sounds like it might be an amusing look at the role of caregiver. It is a difficult task, I hope you enjoy the book and it is informative and helpful. kelley—the road goes ever ever on

I almost put Zusack on my list yesterday but instead I think I'd just read The Book Thief AGAIN. ;) I've heard such good things about Beth Kephart. Need to read something by her!

I will one day have to join in the book teaser days..when I am not feeling worn out. Have taken up a writing course which has been fun, sort of. Seems the only thing I can manage to fit in between minding the baby and grandchildren!
