Saturday Snapshot... RIP IT OUT!

Having been around a sewing enviroment for a great many years, one learns to rip out seams and it becomes part of the process, so much so, that in painting if I don't like something I don't hesitate to start over, or in furniture refinishing same story.  Well this morning I'm standing there waiting for my kettle to boil and I look over at my newly refinish/rebuilt bench, loving it, and I'm thinking"why is that leaf a different colour than the other... Well I had made my cushion on the wrong side. RIP IT OUT...
these are cushion covers my aunt had gifted me many years ago, I was waiting for inspiration... love my polka dot ruffle. One of these days I'll post the before and after version.  I could hear my mom's voice saying "stop playing you have a dress to make." Sometimes playing is inspirational.

Everything I've ever tried to sew other than some pot holders, my mom had to "rip out" and do them over. Yeah, I know, that's pitiful!

I'd rather start something new then undo. I would like to see the before and after pictures.

Not being handy with a needle, dear Irene, I can only say that if I were to start anything with thread, it would end up having to be ripped out. So I don't start. I did however, mend a dress the other week. It worked out beautifully so maybe I'm not as hopeless as all that. Your polka-dot ruffle is wonderful. xoxo
