Saturday Snapshot...

My friend Anna makes a wicked pizza.  Nothing like the one pictured above.  Usually it has olive oil and a bunch of herbs and sprinkled with a bit of cheese, not mounds of stuff like we are use to .  She then serves a variety of meats, like salami, or prochuto (not sure of the spelling of that) and dried cheeses.  You place these meats on top of your pizza slice and enjoy.  I don't even think I remember her putting tomato on it, and no pepperoni.  A glass of wine and yum.  You can tell I'm craving something different to eat than what I cook.  I've made a variety of different soups this week, in my attempt to kill this cold.  Last evening I made meat on a stick for my men, and by the time it was done, so was I, so I don't even know what it tasted like.  Thank heaven for toast and tea.

Hi Irene,
io vado pazza per la pizza !!
Mi piace fatta in tutte le maniere...
con tanta mozzarella, con le verdure, bianca e rosmarino, con le patate e la salsiccia, pomodoro, prosciutto e funghi...
Ps: prochuto = si scrive "prosciutto"...
Ciao e buon appettito !
Myriam :))

I could eat pizza every day for every meal, and I'm not kidding!

I used to make my own, but haven't in a while. My son keeps bugging me to though, so I should. It is better and healthier.

Hope you feel better soon, I'm finally almost back to normal.

I love the build your own pizza idea - I'll do that next time I make my own pizza's from scratch.

Homemade pizza is quite wonderful! Yum! I am so sorry that cold still has a grip on you. Have you seen the doctor again about it?

Sounds like true Italian pizza, once you try it you'll never eat that chain pizza again!

Soup and pizza sound great. Not so much meat on a stick though.

Hope you're feeling better today. Ginger tea works wonders for healing.

Never been very fond of pizza, but your friend's version sounds interestingly different.
Meals are always a problem for me.
Hope you are able to get rid of that cold soon Irene.
Thanks for popping in to my blog to admire the new baby!
