Here in Canada we've just celebrated our Thanksgiving Day. Should be everyday, however. I haven't participated in Postcard Friendship Friday for some time, mostly because I "organized" my postcards and have no idea where they are. Just happened upon this one today, that escaped the "organization". Love this card. Love the moon. (I'm into moons lately). Back to being Thankful. Yesterday at the refinishing workshop I met up with a gal who lives in my area, and you know how I complained about "the flood" and how I haven't quite moved back to my sewing room. Well this gal had the water/sewage come in for 14 hours. Can you imagine the damage. We/ she and I had just finished working on her two lovely chairs, which she then took to her sewing room in the flood zone to finish hand stitching. GONE!. I felt like crying for her. And yes the insurance will give her some money, but not for her/my time. So what do I have to be thankful for you ask... my little flood. Heck even for Handy Andy, who listens, does nothing, but does listen. Have a wonderful Friendship Friday, and thanks to Beth for continuing this great little meme, and to Marie who originally started it all.

Hi Irene, sorry to read about the damage the flood did to you and the gal you met. It's truly heartbreaking to think about lost things that can never be replaced...
Oh, dear...I am So sorry to hear about the flood and what it stole away. ((hugs)) I wish there were some way to make it all better.
It is heartbreaking. You are in my prayers, sweet lady. Thank you for participating in Postcard Friendship Friday.
It is an honor. Just know all of us are rooting for you and your dear ones. ((hugs))
i love the thanksgiving card (love the moon). so sorry about your flood -- no fun. Happy PFF!
water damage is the worse because it never quite feels over with. Hope everything gets replaced for you.
Yes, I think you have plenty to be thankful about! God bless the lady with the damaged furniture - she's a trooper!
Wow. That is a really sad story. I feel for her. And for you.
What a great postcard. Love the 'feel' of it. Moons are some of my favorite images.
How horrible! I know floods can be terrible things. It's good to see you back on PFF though I've been missing a lot myself.
Belated Happy Thanksgiving!
That is an interesting card - not sure what to make of it!!
There is always somebody worse off to make us feel thankful. Sad, but true.
The various floods in Canada early in the summer were devastating for those involved. I am thankful for all those who helped cleanup with no expectation of anything in return. I made a quilt and sent it to my sister to deliver to a co-worker of hers whose house was at the worst of it. I couldn't help iother ways and I was high and dry. so many things to be thankful for. lovely card.
Awwww, how terrible for your friend. I'm glad she has you to commiserate with, dear Irene. I like moons too.
