Saturday Snapshot... forever in my heart

Today we say goodbye to our beloved Evelyn.  She'll be missed by many, especially me. And while we understand that we can't live forever, we never thought she would let death get the better of her.  She had a lovely service, with standing room only, in spite of the fact that her family is not in this country.  She impacted so many, that even the car dealership which she dealt with was present among the mourners.  That big smile you see in the photo, was always there.  We all sobbed like children.

Saturday Snapshot is hosted by Melinda of West Metro Mommy.  It’s easy to participate – just post a picture that was taken by you, a friend, or a family member and add your link on Melinda’s site.

It's good to sob like children when the passing of a beloved friend touches you so deeply, dear Irene. So many precious ones are passing off the scene, it's like there is a conveyor belt stretching into eternity and it's going faster and faster. I marvel at the grief some are called upon to bear, and I am amazed at how they manage to shine through the difficult days. Your friend will always be a part of you. I'm so glad you had a chance to know her. Rest in peace, Evelyn.

Happy Birthday
