Random 5 Friday

Vince relaxing
where you share 5 random facts
 about you, your day,
your pets, your kids, whatever!

"I thought I'd have more time" has been the theme for the week.  More time to enjoy my babies, my hobbies, my friends and family. Don't I sound like I have one foot in the grave?

August has been cold around here, too cold for the beach anyway. I said if I have to wear snow shoes I'm going to the beach.
at the beach, it was windy
We are anxiously awaiting back to school days around here, so the setting up of homework areas has begun.  Me at continuing education, my guys in the final years at University.  Life long learners I hope.  wish I could teach them common sense.

The cat is obnoxious, can't decide weather he wants in or out.  He's not allowed out, except with my husband who is obsessed with having him out there.
AND the big High this week has been the arrival of a new little grand niece, I can't post a picture, her mom doesn't like that, but she's adorable 9pounds 7 ounces,  I swear she's big enough to walk.  Cute.

I harbor the hope that my kids will be life-long learners, too! Great random collection!

I'll take some of your cold weather, and you can have some of our Oregon heat!

Our four kitties are indoor all the time, but one wants out sometimes and is loud about it. :)

Congrats on the new grand baby!

Don't we all wish we had more time!
I too am waiting for the arrival of the school year, only 10 more days. I guess we are never to old to learn new things.
Funny about your cat. A couple of ours are always trying to escape outside. Needless to say it is annoying.

Congratulations on Wonderful, New Family!

Cats are unique - and enjoy pointing it out at every opportunity - don't you think?

Unusual Summer . . . Causes me to wonder what winter has in store for us.

Happy Friday!

I know that feeling of thinking I'll have plenty of time and then not - all too well! Best of luck with the beginning of the school year. Life long learning is fantastic!

wonderful to have a new baby to love. We have fluctuated between too hot and too cold much of August and have just made the best of it. I can relate to your cat.

Our cats are indoor cats too. One got out and she left for five weeks. It was a miracle to have her find her way home after all that time.. Aww..a new baby..How sweet!

Congratulations. It seems that more and more mothers and fathers are having more issues about posting photos of their children on the net because of safety concerns. Our cat used to be the outdoor cat until we moved to the top floor of the apartment and now is an indoor... he doesn't seem to mind. Take care.

Vince looks like my Murphy's brother. He's handsome, even if a bit obnoxious :)

Hi Irene, so nice to meet a new friend! Where are you that summer is cold? Our English summer has been so lovely this year, (completely makes up for the lousy two or three summers we've had in a row.) I have the same feeling like I wish I had more time, because in a couple of weeks I have to return to Vancouver and the crazy that my life is there, which is just a different crazy from my life here...lol. Congratulations on the mew baby in the family. It's just lovely to have a new little one around, isn't it? Our little ones are now 3 and 1 yrs old and I'm really looking forward to spending time with them next month. I hope you have fun in school next semester. Chloe is entering her fourth and last year of uni, she's a little worried about having to have a "big girl job" (as she put it) soon. I love to study too. I remember when my father died I decided to invest in myself and did a communications degree. That was fun to the max. I think I'll take loads more courses this year too. Tell me which ones you take and maybe we can compare notes...lol. Anyway, I do go on, don't I...have a great weekend and hopefully the cat won't but you too much. :)

Time is one of those precious things that keeps escaping us, isn't it? I still plan to do a post that answers all the terrific questions that you pose! I should be able to get to it next week. I've been playing catch-up for a while between doctor visits and computer issues!

Our whole summer has been strange weather wise. I'm glad you made it to the beach.

I've got an obnoxious cat like that too Irene -- and a husband like that as well. Lol!

Congrats on the new baby --- so jealous. No babies in our current extended family right now.

Thanks so much for sharing at R5F this week Irene. So nice to learn more about you. xo

Oh, a new baby, how wonderful. And I sure would enjoy a day at the beach. Around here we can go down to Charleston in January and have great beach weather, not too hot and not humid. We didn't go last year but surely this year we can get away. I don't understand cats, dear Irene.

I'd go to the beach even if I had to wear snow shoes too!

Congrats to everyone on the new baby!

Our cat would like to go outside, but she's too scared.

Happy Birthday

Happy birthday to my wonderful son,  it's bee 33wonderful years. Hope this year proves to be the best yet.
