Snapshot Saturday...

A few weeks ago my sister, Babs, and I got into this conversation about the state of our bunions.  She read someplace that we should be separating our toes to inspire our bunions/toes back to their proper place.  So I hauled out my toe separator, and my son and I now watch the evening news with these things on.  I can't seem to get all my toes in.  Is this a sign? Or is my belly in the way?  Anyway, after a very long week of not feeling well and dealing with the aftermath of our flooded basement, I really need to just put my feet up, bunion separators or not.  My husband and son's are working during the day so it's my baby, the clean up.  When they predicated another storm last night, you can bet your bippy that I was standing over the drain with a cork. You know the saying when your slacks are too short, "are you waiting for a flood", this cabinet is... I proped it up on bedraisers to allow the floor I scrubbed to dry.
waiting for a flood?  Yes, yes I am.
In other news, it's been a hot HOT week. I've found all kinds of interesting things in my basement that I'd wondered where they had gone. No idea what lies ahead with these storms, but we shall deal with it when it happens. Could be worse, I could be too old to do this. Snapshot Saturday is hosted by West Metro Mommy Reads

I don't wear high heels on a regular basis so I've never had to worry about bunions.

Sorry you have to deal with the flood!

Toe separator? I had no idea!

That's not the best way to have to clean out your basement but at least now it's done. And hopefully the flooding is done too.

I think you deserve having your feet up for a while! I'm so sorry that you had to deal with the flooding cleanup. Ugh, that's no fun at all.

Floods and storms sound not good. We are in the middle of a heatwave. Trying not to grumble, but it making me wilt.

I thought that was a toe separator for a pedicure!

Oh, I hope the storms are gone...and that your bunions go away! I notice more and more callouses on my feet lately. So many years of going barefoot!

Thanks for sharing...and for visiting my blog.

Oh, I have a friend who hates storms. Too many times of basement flooding. Maybe that would encourage me to do a better job of organizing.

Interesting idea to get rid of your bunions. I know a couple of people who have had surgery. This seems much better. Here's Mine

I hear bunions are very painful, but your feet look great to me (maybe it is the cute toe separaters Irene):)

Sorry about your flooded basement - terrible.

Water in the basement is the worst!

I hope you're feeling better now. I'm a bunion sufferer too - must try toe separators!

Nothing worse than a flood in the basement...I've had that happening too. Hope things improve!

Never heard of toe separators...I must mention this to my neighbour, who has a problem.
...we too got ready for the Friday storm, our street was like a river but NO flooding, so that was a relief.
Never seen such storms and I've lived in the GTA all my life.

I should tell Erica about the toe separator remedy. She is concerne she is forming bunions. Whatever keeps you with your feet up is okay by me, dear Irene. You deserve the rest and relaxation. Make somebody bring you a cup of tea.

Happy Birthday

Happy birthday to my wonderful son,  it's bee 33wonderful years. Hope this year proves to be the best yet.
