Not wordless Wednesday...

Well, our home was part of the tragedy of the emergency state declared on Monday in the Toronto Area.  And as I standing up to my calves in water plucking out my valuables I'm thinking "I wonder if the shamwow towel would help".  I and yes I have now removed all of the wet wall to wall carpeting, and bleached the floor (it smells like a swimming pool), I'm thinking "where on earth am I going to put all this stuff, while the new flooring is installed".  So far all the upholstery/refinishing projects have been moved up to the living room, with a path to the sofa, I'll need to crash at some point, and now what.  Good thing I'm a major stock holder of Rubbermaid Totes, ( all 20 of them, full, are on the front porch under a tarp). So while I'm heading out to the curb to deposit my discarded carpeting, I spot the above beauty.  O.K. so this is the silver lining in that cloud... I don't remember this hydrangea being blue, but... and she has 2 companions.  The roses look like they've had a bad hair day, all blown to bits as do I.

Gosh, that's no good Irene. In fact, downright awful.

I can't get used to all the bad weather around the place lately. I heard about some in your part of the world, but never dreamed you'd be affected.

Do hope things dry out and get sorted very soon for you all!

Oh dear, dear Irene. I am so sorry about this. If there's anything I can't stand, it's my home being in upheaval. I will pray for you that everything gets resolved soon and to your complete satisfaction. And I hope you didn't lose anything truly valuable. Thank you for the kind card you sent. It was one of two sympathy cards I received on the passing of my aunt, whose loss I still feel keenly every day. Thank you for your prayers and I will be praying for you.

This was some storm...my whole basement was flooded with 3 to 4 feet of water. We are still clearing from Tuesday afternoon and waiting for the insurance guy....and my basement was huge as I have a big bungalow.

...so sorry to hear about yours.
