A large bird watching me carefully as I board the train he was LARGE like a pigeon |
the happy gang |
I know I'm a little late, but... My two sisters and I joined a couple of life long friends for a lovely lunch. We closed the place down. As you can see there is NO ONE left in the restaurant. Finally the waiter walked by and I asked him to take a photo and he quickly complied, I think to get rid of us. He said they would re-open for dinner in a couple of hours if we should care to stay, but they (the staff) were leaving. From left to right and around the back of the table, Teresa O,(lived in the upper apartment when my parents had their first home) next to her my sister Alice,my sister Donna, Veronica (our next door neighbor when we were kids) and moi. I was celebrating my sons completion of his school year, Veronica and Teresa were celebrating birthdays, Donna we are grateful was up and about, until her next health issue, and Alice our generous hostess and excellent driver. Since then, Donna has had another health issue, a restaurant visit would be too much for now, we are praying... Take time to be grateful.

Love that bird photo. And meeting for lunch is fun!
Here is my snapshot post
I LOVE that you get together with your sisters and some childhood friends!!
Will keep Donna in my prayers!
There is nothing better than a lively lunch with friends. Great shot! And thanks for visiting my blog.
I believe that's a red-winged black bird. They're beautiful! I want to party with you guys, if you close down the restaurants!!!
Wonder what kind of bird thAt was?
Love the family and friends shot as well.
I love those type of meetings with old friends...nice photo. I bet that was at the Mandarin.
How fun to see old friends like that! I wonder what they would have said if you'd told them you were going to stay on at the restaurant.
Catching up with good friends is one of the best things ever :-)
Hello Irene,
I really LOVE the "title" happy gang, it's a nice image of what can be an understanding friendship. I can't imagine a pigeon as big as a train. Smiles !
I hope all is well with you sister Donna.
Blessings
Grace
What fun to enjoy the company so strongly that you don't want to leave.
I love it when you're with friends and you shut the place down. Looks like a great place for an impromptu reunion, dear Irene. I really like those green chairs. So funny they offered to let y'all have the run of the place while they left for their pre-dinner break, LOL.
