Sunday Salon... a daffy kind of week

Sunday Salon finds me still fighting this bug, I'm very tired, I don't have time to be tired.  However... All those bulbs I planted and only two daffys to show for my trouble, the tulips are still struggling to push through the snow, yes snow.  It's been cold and hot and wet and cold again this past few days, and yesterday snow flurries. I only ventured outside to take this picture because it was so windy, I figured they'd blow away.

I spent way too much time in front of CNN this week, as I imagine most of us did, such sadness and senseless violence, so many lives changed forever.  No books in my mailbox this week, so I'll be hitting my own shelves.  Presently I'm reading "the best man".  It's o.k. so far.  I think I needed something like this right now.  Reading has not been easy this week, I don't know what it is but, when I'm not feeling well, reading just doesn't happen.  So I sorted buttons, and embroidery ribbon.  Of course now I'm itching to do some embroidery.  I've got a wack of laundry to catch up on and my painting schedule is way out of order, but this too shall pass.  Hope this Sunday Salon finds you well and enjoying whatever weather your part of the world is offering.

I tried not to watch too much news this week but it was unavoidable. What a disturbing week! I hope you're better soon!

Yes, a nasty week indeed. Very sad.
Sorry to hear you are not feeling well. Hope it warms up soon and that you will feel better too!

It was difficult to concentrate on reading over the past week for me as well. Kristan Higgins would be a good distraction. I have The Best Man on my kindle but haven't read it yet. Hope you feel better very soon.

When you have a news week like this last one, it makes you appreciate the small things (like daffodils).

That was a horrible week. It is amazing that, no matter what we do, we can't keep crazies away.

However, most people are kind, responsible, giving, and peaceful.

Sweet daffodils.

So sorry you've been unwell, dear Irene. I hope by now you're better. Sorting buttons is relaxing, much like sorting beads, which I do all the time. Our weather is so sublime. I wish you were here to share it with me.

Happy Birthday

Happy birthday to my wonderful son,  it's bee 33wonderful years. Hope this year proves to be the best yet.
