Saturday snapshot... a cold morning

It just doesn't stop snowing around here.  It's March 2nd and it's bitter cold -7C, the roads are wet and slippery, you need spikes on your shoes.  Yesterday morning while waiting for a bus, I observed trucks hauling away loads of snow, for fear when the great meltdown happens we may flood.  Where do they put all this snow, Lake Ontario I hope.  Keep warm, stay dry and read a little something.  I'm well into In the Bleak Mid Winter.  I have a few bus trips in the works today, so I should finish just in time for Sunday Salon.

Snapshot Saturday is hosted by Alyce at At Home with Books

I'd say come visit us but we're only a little bit warmer right now--about 30 degrees when I woke up this morning (too lazy to convert). My parents always talk about how little they miss the bitterly cold Toronto winters. Hope you at least get some sunshine soon!

That looks like some serious cold, dear Irene. I hope you stay indoors until a thaw. Our high here today is supposed to be 50 F and for us that is truly chilly. It's overcast so that adds to the drear. I will spend the day inside, writing. Happy weekend to you.

We need to have our snow piles removed, they are becoming a driving hazzard!

I'm tired of snow too and we don't have nearly as much on my side of the Great Lakes. Birds were singing this morning so they must know spring is near.

Happy Birthday

Happy birthday to my wonderful son,  it's bee 33wonderful years. Hope this year proves to be the best yet.
