I'm slightly into this book, just slightly, after this line I've felt rather disturbed...
"I don't think so:" said Sophie. She was shifting her feet delicately, trying to nudge me towards the stone table: she wanted to get back to work. I looked away. I am not squeamish about bodies, and I was pretty sure I had seen even worse than this one - a toddler, the year before, whose father kicked him until he basically broke in half...
After this line, I wasn't sure I wanted to continue, so I've only just gotten a few more pages.

I hope you end up loving it. I was one of my faves the year I read it.
I liked this one, but it wasn't my favourite of the novels I've read of hers.
I do so hope you love this book and author as much as I do!
