A very little Christmas Tree...

A little tree I brought up from the bowels of my workshop, just to say , yes it is Christmas. Didn't get to the lights and decoration.  Wishing you all a Blessed Christmas season.

Irene, hope you had a wonderful Christmas with family and friends, or perhaps some extra quiet time with a good book that you really enjoyed.

It's a dear little tree, and just what your soul needs, a recognition of the occasion but without the loud clanging bells and whistles..!!

I remember having to go out and find a small, almost bare branch off a tree the night before Christmas, just after my husband died suddenly and accidentally when they were still quite young. It was one of the hardest chores I have ever had to do, but it felt entirely necessary for the sake of the children, to have some semblance of normality at what was a quite abnormal time in our lives.

I still don't have a tree here yet this year, as I went to my daughter's place for Christmas. It was a nice quiet time (well, with two noisy little ones) and a simple healthy meal! Just right!
Maybe I will get to put up a simple tree soon for when the rest of the family is due to visit. Maybe they will help decorate it!

Thinking of you Irene, and continued blessings upon you and the family.
