Wordless Wednesday... NOT

It just seems like yesterday... This is my son S. Vincent, and his/my garden when he was four years old.  I received a lovely mother's day gift of a single morning glory plant in a painted pot, well you know we had to plant it.  It wasn't doing much, before we left for our visit with my mother, and a week later look what happened.  That was 19 years ago.  Each fall I carefully collect the seeds and the photos above are today's crop.  My neighbour keeps telling me they are weeds, but what does he know? S.Vincent I think has a green thumb.  Those were his clematis around the shed too, another mother's day gift.  I always told him, "when in doubt, buy flowers".  Wait till you see S. Vincent in tomorrows post.

I love morning glories, dear Irene, maybe because purple is my favorite color or maybe because of their faithfulness. At any rate your son is a gem and you are his loving mama and I can't wait until tomorrow to read about him some more! Is this the one who will someday win the Pulitzer Prize for Poetry? If so I will be all the more on the edge of my seat. And thank you for viewing Allissa's gallery!!!

I'm going to find it hard to wait.

These photos kind of made me tear up. I don't know why. Life is really poignant sometimes.

I guess it's time for more coffee.

Happy Birthday
