Sunday Salon... Meow, meow, meow

Well the days of the week just seem to fly by.  I think I might be dysfunctional.  I only finished one book this week, Halloween Party, Agatha Christie.  Needless to say, just what one needs at this time of year. Murder!(in fiction).  We are experiencing a great deal of rain this week, and it promises to continue.  I only hope it doesn't freeze, since my garden is not put to sleep as yet.  There was a break in the downpour this morning so I got up, early on Sunday, and hauled in some of the heavy objects, without the aid of my men, lazy bums that they are.  My soaker hoses have had a restful month, and I suppose the water bill will be more acceptable, but then all that mud...  Speaking of mud,  In my efforts to promote conversation with my mom, I was recollecting our trip to Poland a great many years ago.  My mom had left her home as a young bride, and not been back for too many years, and she was bound and determined to see her house/home where she grew up.  Of course this is in farm country.  We were driven by horse and buggy through one village to our destination and I have NEVER seen so much mud.  We felt sorry for the horse and got out and walked, and dragged our VERY heavy suitcases through it all.  I was laughing with her about the mud seeping through my beautiful shoes and toes and my painted toe nails. I got a smile out of her, don't know if she was reacting to my laugh or my story? I told her if she didn't start smiling I'd have to give her a face massage, (which she hates).  So while my yard is somewhat muddy, I'm still o.k. with my painted toe nails.  After church today, my plan is to hit my sewing room, and clear up my table, I NEED to do some alterations, I seem to keep growing (sideways), and I have hidden my sewing sheers and don't remember where, you know to keep them safe from handy Andy. I'm sure handy Andy will be underfoot the whole day, he's doing some computer stuff, and he's not so good at it.  We'll be dragging out the snow tires soon... In the mean time enjoy my cat sitting waiting for meal time, and no he doesn't eat at the table, he just sits and watches us eat, creepy eh!Nobody ever eats alone at my house.

Irene, do you mean that you dragged the suitcases through the mud too? Ick! I am so not a mud loving girl. Not ever. :-)

Give your Mom a hug from me. And one to yourself as well. Hang in there. {}

Dragging suitcases through the mud does not sound like fun, but at least you are able to smile about it! :)
