Meltdown Monday...

I decided to take a earlier trip out to my mom's today, in light of the predicted storm warnings.  It was still a wet and cold adventure.  I got there in time to take her to a prayer meeting.  While we prayed, me and the other ladies, my mom moved her fingers along the rosary beads and did the appropriate actions, without uttering a word, much as all the other times.  I was pleased that she was able to stay awake, most times they've had her up since 5or 6 a.m. and she's ready for a nap by 10.  But then, when we started to sing Ave Maria, well this very feeble voice came through.  You know I had a meltdown.  How do I do this stuff, I cannot go to a funeral, of even a stranger, without making a fool of myself, forget my niece saying grace before meals, I'm such a Weeping Willow. But, today topped the cake, when all the festivities were over, one of the ladies walked over to me to see if I was O.K.  Heck I'm still a wreck and it's 4:30p.m.  I don't think I'll ever be o.k.  all the cold water face washes couldn't erase the tell tale signs, everyone steered clear and we had a very quiet visit and I'm out of tissues.

Hope your Monday was better than mine, for all of you in the path of the storm, take care. I'm off to do laundry in case we have no power, my flashlights are loaded up and I'm ready for you Sandy.

I really think tears like that are just fine - maybe because I'm the same way. It just means you feel emotions deeply.

It's ok to cry when you need to. It's such an emotional release, for whatever the reason. Hope your tuesday is better.

There's no shame in crying. Time marches on and it's how we cope. I hope you are weathering the storm, inside and outside. {{{hugs}}}

Don't be ashamed of some tears. It is an emotional release that is healthy and natural. If you block them, you'll have more problems. I cry easily too and it can feel good sometimes.

Hope you haven't been affected by the storm Irene.

Possibly the stress of the impending storm, or some other stress. Are you sleeping well? I find if I haven't slept well I am way more emotional.

Changed your medications, I have felt a weight lift off me, having just changed some medication.

My bible study story...one night, at bible study, they did the story about John the Baptist, don't ask me to tell you which story, I am sure you probably guess the one I mean, but I cried the whole night while they discussed the story...I just sat in the corner and wept, and no-one said anything for which I was very grateful! That story does the same thing to me every time. I cannot hack it.

We all have our moments..and especially relating to our families I think. I do hope you are OK now.

I went to Grandparents Day at my grand-daughter's new high school, and during one of the hymns, I suddenly thought of some one who was very ill, and that started me crying too! Just had to pray for them. And stop singing for a bit! But mainly cos my sleep is pretty terrible at the moment, on account of my changing medications I think.
