Sunday Salon...

No matter how difficult the day, at the end of it I enjoy my tea.  I should be British.
This week many things took me away from reading, mostly exhaustion.  My mom seems to have had another "episode" and her well being has greatly declined.  And it's been so hot.  I thought I'd stay indoors for the majority of the one day I was home and listen to a book, but with the air conditioner going and the washing machine and the dryer, I just couldn't concentrate on the subject.  Scrubbing the floor is very cathartic, even if you crawl up the stairs afterward.  I'm kinda thinking I might do an earth hour every day and just turn everything off and read outside.  I NEVER sit outside.  There always seems to be something that needs tending.  Personally I think I'm loosing my MO JO.  And as an added bonus I'm almost finished my bookmarks, that's the only creative thing I've done.  I'll be posting them on the 16th.  I will have to elaborate on my saying.  While Suzanne from Quietfire Designs sent me a great stamp to use, I'd had gone ahead and did an adaptation.  Suzanne is a Calligraphy Artist.  The poem reads ... Hope perches in the soul and sings and Never stops at all.  (Emily D. wrote this).  It came to me in a different way and seemed to suit my needs, So I went with it.  I love Suzannes' work.  And she creates the most awesome bookbinding kits.  Another hobby I have neglected.  I must get back to these things, and then the dirty floors can wait for me.

The birds in the birdhouses next door have still continued to carry on LOUDLY.  My neighbour, who erected these houses, has been watching.  I don't know how she knows this but she claims that there are three males trying to attract mates, every morning they clean out their houses and bring in new stuff, and sit and wait loudly. Where have all the girls gone?  We don't know.  I just had to include the Deppster today, just have this song in my head. Have a great Sunday and a wonderful week, I don't anticipate mine will be much fun until I turn the power off.

It sounds like you're going through a rough time. It's not easy watching your parents decline. I'm sending good thoughts and hugs your way.

Very sorry about your mom. It's tough to watch them age.

I don't sit outside either. It's too hot or humid or hot & humid. And buggy!

Love me some Depp!! Thanks for sharing the video!
