Saturday Snapshot... Roosters Retreat

I had to take a shot of my clematis, it's done so well this year, and it's co-operating covering up my ugly shed.  I do however think Rooster's Retreat (the shed) will need to be replaced soon.  The wasps have set up their household there.

Have a great Saturday.  Saturday Snapshot is hosted by Alyce from At Home With Books.

Cool pics! Is there any way to keep the rooster panel?

The clematis is nice and full. I like the rooster peeking out along side it. Did you paint that?

Beautiful shot! That would make a lovely postcard :)

Pretty picture! I wouldn't be too keen on the wasps. I would not have got that close for that matter... :)

Very nice contrast-flowers and rooster.
Do you hear the lovely waking call of the roosters in the morning?

I like the rooster alongside the clematis - did you paint the rooster? My Snapshot is at http://goo.gl/ha45K

I painted the Rooster (my husband's nickname, no idea why) a number years ago, I don't think I'll try to salvage it, too many winters out there. And thankfully I don't hear him crow in the a.m.

beautiful clematis, and I love your rooster, especially since I had a rooster in my own SS today :) Can you have the wasp nest removed? I get bee-hives around my house and have had to have 1 moved already

It tricked me at first glance - I didn't realize it was a shed. :)

How pretty! I'm glad your flowers bloomed out this year. Mine didn't have much of a chance against the heat and dryness.

Here's my Snapshot.

Those wasps are always working! We have another one thinking our deck would make a good place.

I think the shed looks lovely.
As bermudaonion said, it has "character".
Reminds me of....... of a Corn Flakes box!

You should have told us the rooster was real and you snapped a lucky shot of him. I would have believed you. The clematis does look pretty. Here's Mine

Beautiful clematis. What a shame to take down the shed, it looks very unique.

Hi Irene,

I love these outdoor paintings, they have such a great way of extending a space and cheering up a blank wall (or shed!).

You are so lucky that your clematis has done so well this year. We don't have any growing in our own garden, however friends and family have all to a man, said how poorly they have performed this year.

Mind you, we have had so much rain, that I think most people have written off their gardens for this year.

You must have your clematis in a safe and sheltered spot and it obviously enjoys the company of the rooster!!!

I love the rooster retreat! When we were in Hawaii we saw SO many roosters roaming around wild. Even up in the trees!

Beautiful pictures.
